Chyme reinfusion therapy (CRT) is a life-saving treatment for patients who have suffered intestinal failure secondary to high-output stomas and fistulas. CRT enables patients to recommence oral feeding, utilizing their own chyme to sustain the body’s nutritional requirements. Chyme reinfusion therapy is demonstrated to improve clinical outcomes, accelerate patient recovery, and allow for early discharge and patient-managed care in their home environments.
